I collect Disney Pixar Diecast cars, (racing related only). Currently assembling a Custom Talledega or Daytona Speedway of the South Set, with custom painted Disney Pixar Cars into real paint scheme Nascar Cup – Nationwide Series (past and present) infamous cars with some Disney Cars characters leading the way.

I make custom glass cases for 18″ Neca Movie Figures such as RoboCop, Terminator, Alien. thanks to Ebayer screen name “jaynice23“. No clear cases exists for these so I thought I would “step up to the plate” and make some prototypes.

I also make glass cases for larger diecast cars such as Batmobiles, Diecast aircraft, Scale model ships, Dried Roses boxes. etc. I have a 6 Batmobile Display Case for 6 different 1-18th scale Batmobiles in one case. This 6 Batmobile case includes: Hot Wheels 1966 Standard version, Elite version and the Super Elite version, 1990 Missile Car from the movie with Michael Keaton “Batman”, Black and Camo versions of the Tumbler from the movie Batman Begins. The 6 Batmobile Case is now completed.

Other completed glass cases are: 7 inch glass cases for Alien vs Predator Requiem figures.

A glass case for the 12 inch NFL figures, such as John Elway (wife is the Broncos Fan) in which is an upcoming project. Still needs the base. It was damaged in the beveling process and is being remade.

On November 9th, 2008 I completed a Glass Display Case for an Indian head dress.

Avid (unabridged audio books) reader of Clive Cussler, who wrote, Raise the Titanic, Sahara and many, many others. I own ALL Clive Cusslers books, about 41 of his books on (unabridged audio) and some First Editions of hardcover.

 

On November 16th, 2008, I made a Seashell display case for my wife when we visted SDCC in July of 2008 and we went to the beach. She had never been to a beach. So we picked up some seashells and some sand and bought some starfish and a blowfish, small shark jaws.

I have made a display case of the C-97 Stratocruiser from the book Vixen 03. Another diecast plane from the book Night Probe, a ME 262 is included in this display. Working on findng the train engine from that book Night Probe also as a “tribute” to Clive Cussler and his writings.

I own a 40″ Titanic scale model ship, in which I hand made a glass case and wooden base for, also as a “tribute” to Clive Cussler and his writings.

 

Also, a (unabridged audio books) reader of Stephen King, entire series. (where in the hell does Stephen King come from?) I think he is his own alien creature, what an active imagination.

Some of James Patterson, (unabridged audio books), Kiss the Girls, Along Came a Spider. Along Came a Spider which was REALLY REALLY an intense book, was wayyy better than the movie.

An “American Hotrod” tv show fan, I own an autographed 1-8th scale Rc hotrod a Boydster II, Which was autographed by Boyd and some of the crew on Decemeber 12th, 2007.  RiP Boyd, you will be missed dearly.

A Review: Heinrich Bauer’s 1:12 scale 1934 Mercedes-Benz 500K Roadster

I am not impressed with the car at all. If I had it to do all over again, I would ask to “see it” first.

NOT impressed with their paint job as well at all… has zitty under finish all over the car.

Everything is WAYYY LESS than what I expected….not as nice as Danbury Mints paint finishes at all, more like a cheap 1-24th scale paint finish.

For the price, 1750.00 brand new one owner…this should be a GLASS SMOOTH crystal clear paint….it is not.

Pieces fallen off when I got it, wonder it wasn’t damaged on the rear axles.

I did find a HUGE glue smudge under the passenger door… above the running board.

then missing the door pin for the soft top….passenger door edge….

again…I am not impressed with the car at all.

Any Bauer Reps reading this? This thing is near a POS paint job if you ask me. Danbury Mint did tons better paint finish for 550.00 on ANY of their cars.

I am not a stranger to large scale high end/high priced cars.

…..so we didn’t have to bring them back to Utah

IF you are going through another seller who is a friend or

associated WITH me and Buyers Team(s) PLEASE understand

no 2 people do the same things as each other does

Everyone goes to SDCC for different reasons

Rule #1

1. Communication REQUIRED

14 days from PRE PRE SALES online of SDCC items

you will be sent a “CHECK IN” email

7 days from SDCC 2014 itself

you will be sent a “CHECK IN” email

I have had a few people cancel because of various reasons and because of

that I have a few spare “confirmed voucher slots” go UNCLAIMED.

Since two weeks or more have passed and those people

who were “next in line” have NOT responded in ANYWAY….

I put them on Ebay or sold them to the next person who wanted dolls

I DID PULL some from ebay auctions to make sure

others that wanted these dolls were “Locked In” and would get

them via “confirmed voucher slots”, CHEAPER than I had

them on Ebay, by 50.00 A DOLL.

 Rule #2

In order to be ON THE 2014 Monster High Buyers List…..

you MUST have been a customer in 2013

You also MUST HAVE BEEN A GOOD CUSTOMER AND

NO WHINING

NO “SELF ENTITLEMENT”

NO Harassment of ANY OTHER SELLER OF Monster High Dolls

This harassment – or being a pest… seems to be an issue whenever SDCC rolls around because some of the customer base are anxious – paranoid and need constant attention. I understand this but we have ALOT of people and CANNOT babysit ONE person every 7 minutes with constant emails asking about status, the same question asked differently and or to different people on the backup team about YOUR ORDER and threats of paypal claims. YOU ARE NOT our only concern. WE get it. PATIENCE. “Self Entitlement” such as – “I will pay only retail” and “My child has autism”, heart surgery and SHE MUST HAVE IT, or dying, “I deserve one because I was shut out at SDCC booth every day”…I only check my emails ONCE A MONTH….

etc etc etc IS NOT ACCEPTABLE

Us Buyers DO communicate with each other and KNOW WHO IS A PAIN to deal with.

IF YOU ARE ONE OF THESE people you have nearly a year now to CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE and RELAX.

Rule #3

Pricing seems to be an issue whenever SDCC rolls around because of

it’s “flightiness” on WHAT is going to be available…..

….ITS OWN PRICE, months ahead of time.

Everyone knows Mattycollector is notorious for price changning at the last minute.

2013 Monster High customers CAN AND ARE “LOCKED IN”

on THE PRICE THEY PAID in 2013 AT the SAME PRICE / pricing for 2014.

PROVIDED that there is NOT a drastic increase in Monster High Dolls

(+5.00 limit)

Rule #4

There will be 3 pricing structures:

BEFORE actual Pre-pre presales – (after official doll announcement) 

(early access subscription that I will use) – BEST PRICE !!

AFTER PRE Presales/Pre sales (general public online sales)

(which next year may have Ever After High or another Monster High Comic Con exclusive)

Preview Night – All 4 days of  – SDCC ITSELF

IF YOU PAY BY CHECK:

I understand this but we have ALOT of people and CANNOT babysit ONE person every 7 minutes with constant emails asking about status, the same question asked differently and or to different people on the backup team about YOUR ORDER and threats of paypal claims. YOU ARE NOT our only concern. WE get it. PATIENCE. “Self Entitlement” such as – “I will pay only retail” and “My child has autism”, heart surgery and SHE MUST HAVE IT, or dying, “I deserve one because I was shut out at SDCC booth every day”…I only check my emails ONCE A MONTH….

etc etc etc IS NOT ACCEPTABLE

Us Buyers DO communicate with each other and KNOW WHO IS A PAIN to deal with.

Pricing seems to be an issue whenever SDCC rolls around because of

it’s “flightiness” on WHAT is going to be available…..

….ITS OWN PRICE, months ahead of time.

Everyone knows Mattycollector is notorious for price changning at the last minute.

2013 / 2014 Monster High customers enjoyed a “LOCKED IN”

on THE PRICE THEY PAID in 2013 AT the SAME PRICE markup / pricing for 2014.

PROVIDED that there was NOT a drastic increase in Monster High Dolls

(+5.00 limit)

 

Rule #5

There will be NO pricing structures in 2015:

IN 2015 I will SET ONE PRICE PERIOD FOR EVERYONE!!!

(except the last day of SDCC 2015 and POST SDCC 2015

THERE will be different sales periods…

SDCC 2015 Ticket Sales Proposal

YEARLY CONSISTENT RETURN SDCC CONVENTIONEERS 

Who else thinks that the current system on online sales for the past few years NEEDS to be simplified and EASIER?

Would it not be simpler to pick up your badge at the current SDCC (when you have to be inline IN person every year anyway) AND for the next year at the same instant and remove all the Epics’ online hassles, waiting room hassles, time table guessing games, calling off work to “wait in line online” and then again calling off work to “wait in line online” maybe three more times because Epic servers crashed a few times – – – every year?

Doesn’t this sound like …Acme products and the Coyote?

While I understand that you will not be able to get a physical badge ahead of time to prevent counterfeiting, THIS ONLINE HASSLE has to stop. People work. People work during Saturdays and different shifts. I myself have a YEAR IN ADVANCE reservations for my hotel -motel room and HAVE PAID a year in advance at times and am committed. I have time off  from work and life set A YEAR IN ADVANCE

LETS KEEP IT SIMPLE

THOUSANDS of people need a fix and why not do this IN PERSON at the POINT OF SALE every year when YOU pickup your badge AT SDCC.

The FIRST 1000 or 2500 people should be eligible to get tickets ON SITE

CSR’s at SDCC should be able to ask:

Would you like to purchase your ticket NOW for 2015?

“Sure Yes I would”

SIMPLIFIED – (You are there, IN PERSON, with ID and credit / debit card,  CASH)

NO WAITING, NO HASSLES.

BANG… your payment is made and DONE, no worries, no muss, no fuss

They used to have a separate line for next year sales, why not integrate them into Badge pickup days at the next SDCC?

If you refuse, then you are in the “mix” for the online sales.

How simple can this be?

 After YEARS of wanting to see the actual car, I finally had that chance.

The “California Kid”, is at the NHRA museum in Pomona California until June of 2009.

Although moved around occasionally, it’s sitting next to Jake’s Coupe, the Super Bell Coupe in these pictures behind the So-Cal display as you walk in the front doors.

Thanks to Jason Slover for the trivia on the “Kid” and My own Danbury Mint die-cast replica and friendship.

Truley a remarkable job right down to the louvers and “flames”, that look “buried a foot deep” in VERY glossy clear over deep black paint. The “Flame Job” is NOT your typical “decal look” 

THIS IS THE REAL DEAL “Flame Job”

DETAIL, DETAIL, DETAIL….To the chrome hood latches, chrome door latches, chrome front bumper horns

Opening hood, opening trunk which is a “finished off” trunk, with a “leather look”

Opening “Suicide doors” (that even latch shut!!)

Interior is so authentic, flexable realistic seats, detailed gauges, operating steering wheel

From the license plates front and rear, to the tear drop “blue dot” tailights

Even AUTHENTIC pinstripping is VERY DETAILED

The 302 motor is SO DETAILED it looks as if it could drive away!

Air cleaner has pleated texure to it, chrome valve covers, accurately wired distributor to the plugs

Two pictures shows bubble wrap over the Lightning Storm Mcqueen itself. That is how it came from the HK couple, I do not know if the regular Lightning Storm Mcqueens will be packed this way.

Review:  Yes they have the number 0000/4768 on the bottom of the black base. VERY VERY nice. They are not as large as I thought but then again not tiny either. Very very nice display. Impressive clear rising stand holding the LSMcQ. Screwed into the bottom of the black base. (good idea) It is a Randsberg style paint job. It is really nice. It comes in a printed box with Mattel information and UPC code.
This fits VERY tightly in the white box so there might be light “rubbing” on the top of the clear display lids.   I think this will be unavoidable. No room to add any bubble wrap in the box.
